Moving On For You

Wake up in the morning,
Tear drops fall down like rain,
Get up sore from the pain,
And I realize I’ve been dreaming of you again.

I put on our song one last time,
Memorizing every little line,
And end up thinking back to moments past,
Still can’t believe it didn’t last.

But now,
As the moon does bow,
It’s time to move on.
It’s time to find out where my souls gone.

So,
I’ll move on,
I’ll stop listening to our song,
I’ll stop wondering what I did wrong,
I’ll stop my pacing; my blood will go calm,
I’ll stop it all just for you,
Cause it’s time to start living anew.
It’s time to move on.

I go to school and see your beautiful face,
And my bleeding heart losing it’s pace,

If we are naught but who recalls our name,
If we are only to dwell in the minds of our children,
Then what are we?

If we shall end as but fairytale characters in some oft recalled tale,
If we shall end as footnotes in some stray journal faintly recalled,
If we shall end as a passed down name of common use,
Then what shall we be?

If a kind word is brushed aside,
As a curse of ill temper stays with you.
If the memory of a man of exorbitant kindness and honour is ignored,
As a chance to hear a tale of some great villain of past is seized in fervor.

Out Of My Head I can't get you out of my head,
I'll probably still be thinking of you,
When I lie in the ground dead.

You're the lone voice of hope,
In a mind filled with despair,
There's no way to cope,
When you aren't there.

You speak of miracles and dreams waiting to come true,
Of finding someone who would finally love you.
But when I told you how I felt, about how I had fallen,
You tossed me aside like dander or pollen.

I didn't mean to end up feeling this way,
I only wanted to help you,

My only concern was that I might have come too late.

A Fairer Fate My path is lonely,
Straight and narrow.

I only want company.
If I could just wield Cupid's arrow...

I am cursed with this ugly form,
And only lone despair from my luck can be born.

I have failed myself,
I still walk alone.
Still unloved as an Orc,
Amongst a civilization of Elf.

But don't pity me.
As I'll soon be dead.
My path is cut short,
And I let free.

Or perhaps I'll live.
I haven't decided.
If she be found,
And fate's promise abided.

But for now I shall wait,
And pray and hope,

Here He Sits And in that chair he did sink.
Pushed and pulled beyond his brink.
Yet it was preceded by a perfect day,
There was no foreshadowing in any way.
A day where all went right,
Followed by a blissful night.

Yet here he sits,
Sunk in tears.
Now presented with the worst of his fears.

It was so perfect, like a dream.
Now down his face tears do stream.

And she feels naught but calm.

Like a priest awaking to find his god dead,
The devastation on his face can clearly be read.

If only she could comprehend what she had done.
If only she could fix what had been done.

So here he sits, dead inside,

Playing: Battlefield 1942 - Road To Rome

Anyways, just finished my last real of High School before I graduate. I'm coming back to get better grades of course, but still. It's like a huge weight is finally gone. A whole lot of other junk is on my plate now that I've become more politically active around Toronto, but the stuff that comes from that is a different kind of weight.

Anyways, for Drama 12 this (last) year I had to write a play. Well I wrote one and thought "Hey, now that it's done I should put it up with all my other artistic junk on DA!". So I did. And thats why there's a new submission up for me after so very long.

Anyways it's a fairly long play (kinda 1 and a half act play) but if anyone wants to take a look, it's there on the internet for a reason.
